Judge Pat Priest sentenced DeLay to three years on the conspiracy charge and five years on the money-laundering charge. But the judge will allow DeLay to serve 10 years probation with community service on the laundering charge in lieu of the prison sentence, and the two sentences will be served concurrently.

And DeLay and his attorney are still going BAWWWWWW THIS IS SO NOT FAIR and breaking their Tinkertoys over that slap on the wrist.

So I dropped Dunkin’ Donuts a little note about the whole retarded Paisleyscarfgate thing, the tl;dr version being something like “caving in to whining from a couple of racist jackasses = epic fail.” Today I got a response.

Thank you for sharing your comments. We always appreciate hearing from our customers. The intent of the online ad featuring Rachael Ray wearing a paisley silk scarf was to promote iced coffee. Given the surprising and truly unfortunate interpretation of this ad from some of our consumers, we decided to pull the ad and replace it with another as it is no longer serving its intended purpose, which was to simply promote our iced coffee—nothing more, nothing less.

At Dunkin’ Donuts, we value all of our customers and remain steadfastly committed to making your experiences with us both memorable and pleasant. Thank you, again, for making us aware of your concerns; it is appreciated[.]

Oh well. Shipley’s and the mom-n-pop bakery have better donuts anyway.
