And Hell continues to order ice skates and skis
I noticed some small signs along the road to work yesterday that were not there before. They looked suspiciously like… bus route signs. And had the words “Harris County Transit” on them.
Holy shit, I thought, could that be what it looks like? Are we seriously after all these years getting a fucking bus here?
In other news, Hell won the bid for the 2014 Winter Olympics
Loads of time off + finding a comic-specific CMS to make life easier + playing a certain Wii game at great length during said time off = oh my God could it be? Could it really fucking be?

What’s that? Another survival horror game for the Wii that’s not a Resident Evil remake or spinoff? And which looks sort of like some terrible beautiful unholy child of Ju-On and Fatal Frame, going by the trailers I’ve seen? Oh God yes please.

I am grateful for your nearly flawless service over the past few years.
And while I understand that everyone needs a break now and then, I must ask that next time, you not take yours right in the middle of my Christmas break. Seriously, what the fuck is this shit, I get sick maybe once a year and this time it has to be when I’m on vacation.

At least I have games to keep me occupied. Thanks to some of my cousins, I am hooked on Guitar Hero and finally broke down and got a Wiitar and World Tour over the weekend.

(For the benefit of people running WordPress on their own web space: go here for the WP plugin, go here to get Shi-Painter itself. Unzip the plugin to its own folder in your WordPress plugins directory, unzip Shi-Painter into same directory. I just upgraded WordPress to the latest and greatest this afternoon, so if it works on mine it will probably work on yours. If it doesn’t I don’t know what to tell you. To draw, make a new post and click on the “insert a picture” icon. In addition to the usual upload/from URL/etc. options, now you’ll also have Shi-Painter Oekaki. Draw, upload, insert into post, enjoy your very own Tegaki E that is happily integrated into your existing blog and, if you use LJ Crossposter, your LJ. Obviously it only works for people who can make posts on your blog.)

You are way, way too excited to receive a new microwave for Christmas.
…in my defense, the one I had was something the ex dragged in one day, some colossal piece of mid-’80s crap that took up the entire bit of counter on which it sat, and the new one is small and cute and has a turntable and leaves room on the counter for my cutting board and my blender and my toaster and things which are not the fucking microwave.
I am also way, way too thrilled that Kroger has both Baconnaise and Bacon Salt, and snapped up one of each. BACON SALT FOR MY POPCORN. WHICH I AM COOKING IN MY BRAND NEW MICROWAVE.
